Description
These fourteen snowflakes were observed by Robert Hooke and communicated to the meeting of the Royal Society on 17 December 1662.
This manuscript is a copy of Register Book no. 2 (RBO/2i) and some letters to the Royal Society, all from between 1662 and 1664.

Object history
At the meeting of the Royal Society on 17 December 1662, ‘Mr. Hooke communicated likewise some remarks on the figures in frozen urine, frozen water, and snow; and those of the small shootings of hoar-frosts; which were ordered to be registered’ (Birch 1:154).
