    This fold-out page with seven diagrams appears as table 1 in the mathematical notebook of William Jones. These diagrams relate to the composition and resolution of forces, as well as the method of drawing tangents.

    William Jones amassed what was considered to be the finest mathematical library of his time, which he left to George Parker, the second Earl of Macclesfield, whom he had tutored in mathematics.
