Description
This fold-out page with two diagrams appears as table 3 in the mathematical notebook of William Jones. These diagrams relate to the mensuration of solids, or how to find the content of a solid generated by the revolution of any known curve about its axis.
William Jones amassed what was considered to be the finest mathematical library of his time, which he left to George Parker, the second Earl of Macclesfield, whom he had tutored in mathematics.
