Description
A figure of the celestial sphere in John Flamsteed's letter to Abraham Sharp dated 12 December 1705, to help with the calculation of the true longitude and latitude of a celestial object.
Abraham Sharp (1653-1742) was Flamsteed's assistant in 1684, and also in 1688-91. From 1694, he ran a family estate at Little Horton, near Bradford (see Correspondence of Flamsteed, ed. by Forbes et al., vol. 3, p. 968).
