Landscape view of the horizon as seen from Mount Guajara. The shadowy outline of a mountain peak is visible in the background, while sheer rockfaces of pink and orange are visible in the foreground. The mountain range appears to sit above the clouds.

From the 'Tenerife Papers of Charles Piazzi Smyth', a scrapbook of watercolours and stereo plates from Smyth's 1856 astronomical expedition to a volcanic mountain range in Tenerife.
