Illustration to ‘A narrative of a monstrous birth in Plymouth, Octob. 22. 1670; together with the anatomical observations, taken thereupon by William Durston Doctor in Physick, and communicated to Dr. Tim. Clerk.’, in Philosophical Transactions of the Royal Society, vol. 5. Issue 65 (14 November 1670). The original letter describing the twins was sent by William Durston to Timothy Clarke on 28 October 1670 and can be found in The Early Letters of the Royal Society EL/D1/15. Recorded in the Letter Book of the Royal Society LBO/4/38 and copied into the Letter Book Copy LBC/4/130a.
