Description
2 figures from issue 96 of the Philosophical Transactions of the Royal Society, depicting the ‘parallelogrammum prosopographicum’, a device for drawing from life using parallel lines. The instrument was adapted from Christoph Schenier’s stereograph and designed as a method to bypass the effects of perspectival foreshortening.
