Harry Govier Seeley (1839-1909) British geologist and palaeontologist, elected a Fellow of the Royal Society in 1879. He was awarded the Croonian Medal in 1887 with his lecture on Pareiasaurus bombidens (Owen) and the significance of its affinities to amphibians, reptiles, and mammals.
