Sir (George) Lindor Brown (1903-1971), British physiologist, was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society in 1946, served as its Secretary between 1955 and 1963, and Vice President between 1956 and 1963. He gave the Society’s Croonian Lecture in 1964 on ‘The release and fate of the transmitter liberated by adrenergic nerves’.
