Sir Edward Crisp Bullard (1907-1980), British marine geophysicist, was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society in 1941 and served as its Vice President between 1946 and 1947. He was awarded the Society’s Hughes Medal, 1953, Royal Medal, 1975, and delivered its Bakerian Lecture in 1967 on ‘Reversals of the Earth's magnetic field’.
