Inscribed below: “HENRY DUKE OF NORFOLK Hereditary Earl Marshal of England Obit 1701 Engraved by C.Turner from an Original Painting London Published by S.Woodburn, 1810”. Inscribed in pencil lower left: “El.1666 6th Duke”.
Henry Howard, 7th Duke of Norfolk, was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society in 1672.
