    Half-length portrait of Peter King, 1st Baron King of Ockham, turned to the left [as viewed], looking directly out at the viewer. With a long, curled wig and furred mantle. In an oval frame, on a plinth bearing the King coat of arms.

    Inscribed below: The Right Honourable Sr. Peter King Knight, Lord Chief Justice of his Maj.ties Court of Common Pleas, and one of his Maj.ties most Honourable Privy Council A. D. 1724’

    Peter King, 1st Baron King (c.1699-1734), lord chancellor, was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society in 1728.
