Half-length portrait of Jean Bernoulli, body turned slightly to the left [as viewed], looking right of the viewer. He wears a white, curled wig, a white necktie and dark robes, and holds a celestial globe and geometric diagram. In an ornately decorated frame.

Object history
Charles Turnor presented his Collectanea Newtoniana. Being a selection of the most authentic engraved portraits of Sir Isaac Newton Knt., and other eminent Philosophers Mathematicians and Distinguished Men … to the Royal Society in 1837.
