    Head and shoulder portrait of William Derham, turned slightly to the right [as viewed], looking directly out at the viewer. With a curled, shoulder-length wig, dark robes and a white necktie. In an oval frame. From a portrait in the collection of the Royal Society.

    William Derham (1702-1757) Church of England clergyman and natural philosopher, was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society in 1703.

    Charles Turnor presented his Collectanea Newtoniana. Being a selection of the most authentic engraved portraits of Sir Isaac Newton Knt., and other eminent Philosophers Mathematicians and Distinguished Men … to the Royal Society in 1837.
