Half-length portrait of Abraham de Moivre, turned to the right [as viewed], looking directly out at the viewer. With a curled wig, dark coat, closed by a single button, and a white neck cloth, in an oval frame. From a portrait from the collections of the Royal Society.
Inscribed below: ‘Jos: Highmore pinx: 1736 J. Faber fecit.
Abra: De Moivre F.R.S.

Charles Turnor presented his Collectanea Newtoniana. Being a selection of the most authentic engraved portraits of Sir Isaac Newton Knt., and other eminent Philosophers Mathematicians and Distinguished Men … to the Royal Society in 1837.
