Description
Seven figures of exhibits at the Royal Society’s conversazione, or soirée, at Burlington House, London, on the evening of 13 May 1904.
The figures are numbered and captioned: 1. Cutter of the Brandt hydraulic drill. 2. A Hydnophytum longifolium from the Fiji Islands. 3. Photograph illustrative of induced radio-activity of bacteria. 4. An improved muffle and melting furnace for use in laboratories. 5 A plant with tubers from the High Andes. 6. A radial area-scale. 7. Edison’s secondary battery for automobiles.
