Harry Julius Emeléus (1903-1993), British inorganic chemist, was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society in 1946. He was awarded the Society’s Davy Medal in 1962 ‘in recognition of his distinguished researches in inorganic chemistry and the discovery and examination of a wide range of new compounds’.
