Edmund Brisco Ford (1901-1988), British geneticist, was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society in 1954. He was awarded the Society’s Darwin Medal the same year ‘In recognition of his distinguished contributions to the genetical theory of evolution by natural selection, particularly in natural populations’.
