Sir Christopher Kelk Ingold (1893-1970), British chemist, was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society in 1938. He was awarded the Society’s Davy Medal, 1946, Royal Medal, 1952, and gave its Bakerian Lecture in 1938 on ‘the structure of benzene’.
