Sir Kenneth Mather (1911 - 1990), British geneticist and botanist, was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society in 1949. He was awarded the Society’s Darwin Medal in 1964 ‘In recognition of his distinguished contributions to knowledge of cytology and genetics’.
