Edward Arthur Milne (1896-1950), British astrophysicist and cosmologist, was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society in 1926. He was awarded the Society’s Royal Medal in 1941 and delivered its Bakerian Lecture in 1929 on ‘the structure and opacity of a stellar atmosphere’.
