Noel Joseph Terence Montgomery Needham (1900-1995), British biochemist, historian of science and sinologist, was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society in 1941. He was awarded the Society’s Wilkins Award in 1958 and delivered the Lecture on ‘The missing link In horological history: a Chinese contribution’.
