Carl Frederick Abel Pantin (1899-1967), British zoologist, was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society in 1937. He was awarded the Society’s Royal Medal in 1950 for ‘his contributions to the comparative physiology of the Invertebrata, particularly his work on nerve conduction in Crustacea and Actinozoa’.
