    Sir Rudolph Albert Peters (1889-1982), British biochemist, was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society in 1935 and served as its Vice President between 1945-1946 and 1955-1956. He was awarded the Society’s Royal Medal in 1949 for ‘his distinguished biochemical researches’ and delivered its Croonian Lecture in 1951 on ‘lethal synthesis’.
