John Monteath Robertson (1900-1989), British chemical crystallographer, was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society in 1945. He was awarded the Society’s Davy Medal in 1960 ‘in recognition of his distinguished pioneering work on the analysis of crystal structure, especially of organic compounds’.
