Kenneth Manley Smith (1892-1981), British agricultural entomologist, was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society in 1938. He was awarded the Leeuwenhoek award in 1953 and delivered the lecture on ‘some aspects of the behaviour of certain viruses in their hosts and of their development in the cell’.
