Sir Frederic Calland Williams (1911-1977), British electrical engineer, was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society in 1950. He was awarded the Society’s Hughes Medal in 1964 and Bakerian award in 1964, and he delivered the associated lecture on ‘inventive technology: the search for better electric machines’.
