Sir Harrie Stewart Wilson Massey (1908-1983), Australian physicist, was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society in 1940 and served as its Physical Secretary and Vice President between 1969-1978. He was awarded the Society’s Hughes Medal, 1955, Royal Medal, 1958, Rutherford Award, 1967, and Blackett Memorial Award, 1976.
