Sir Kenneth Mather (1911-1990), British geneticist and botanist, was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society in 1949. He was awarded the Society’s in Darwin Medal in 1964 ‘in recognition of his distinguished contributions to knowledge of cytology and genetics’.
