    Head and shoulders portrait of A.G. Kästner, in profile, facing right as viewed. Wearing a short wig, dressed in an unbuttoned coat, waistcoat, and cravat. In an oval frame.

    Abraham Gotthelf Kästner (1719-1800), German mathematician, active at the Universities of Leipzig and Göttingen, was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society in 1789.
