Sir Vincent Brian Wigglesworth (1899-1994), British entomologist, was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society in 1939. He was awarded the Society’s Royal Medal in 1955 ‘in recognition of his distinguished experimental contributions of outstanding value to many aspects of insect physiology’.
