    Inscribed: ‘Mauri/ ROSSELIN, editeur, 21, quai Voltaire. Lith. De Gregoire et Deneux, a Paris./ BOYER’ with facsimile signature and further handwritten annotation ‘Born 1694/ Elec 1749/ Died 1760’.

    Jean Baptiste Nicolas Boyer (1693-1760), French physician, was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society in 1749.
