    Seated portrait of William Dealtry, inclined to the left as viewed, a book in his lap, dressed in a dark frockcoat over his clerical apron and with his stockings clocked, a carved pillar and drapery behind.

    Inscribed: ‘H. W. PICKERSGILL, ESQ. R.A. PINX.T C. E. WAGSTAFF SCULPT.’

    William Dealtry (1775 - 1847), English clergyman, was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society in 1811.
