    Half-length portrait of John Bridges inclined sightly left as viewed and looking out at the camera. Dressed in a robe, white necktie and tightly curled wig, presented in an oval with coat of arms beneath.

    Inscribed: ‘IOHN BRIDGES/ late of LINCOLNS-INN Esqr./ G. Kneller Eques pinx: 1706. G: Vertue Sculp: 1726.’

    John Bridges (1666 - 1724), British barrister, was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society in 1708.
