Inscribed: ‘Drawn & Engraved by C. Turner A.R.A.. London. Published Jany. 23 1835 by C. Turner 50 Warren Street Fitzroy Square./ Messrs Colnaghi Son & Co. Pall Mall East. And S. Rodwell Bond Street.’ With further handwritten annotation ‘1834’.
William Brockedon (1787-1854), British painter, writer and inventor, was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society in 1834.
