Description
Three-quarter length portrait of Edward Cave, wearing a coat, waistcoat, and shirt, but presented semi-informally, with a turban and without a cravat or tie. Cave holds a letter addressed to ‘Sylvanus Urban, St. John’s Gate. London’. A small ring is visible on the little finger of the hand holding the letter.
