    Sir Alec Arnold Constantine Issigonis (1906-1988), British-Greek automotive designer, was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society in 1967. He was awarded the Leverhulme Medal in 1966 for ‘his distinguished contributions to the design of motor cars, particularly the Morris Minor and Austin and Morris Mini’.
