    Head and shoulders portrait of the Earl of Dartmouth, turned to the left as viewed, eyes directly to the viewer. Shown in a short wig, wearing an unbuttoned jacket and a waistcoat, with a white cravat. In an oval frame.

    Inscribed below: ‘WILLIAM EARL OF DARTMOUTH, L.L.D & F.R.S. Late a Member of the Society for the Encouragement of Arts, Manufactures, and Commerce. Drawn and Engraved by Wm. Evans, from an original Picture by Gainsborough, in the Possession of the Countess of Dowager.’.
