Head and shoulders portrait of Caleb Whitefoord, turned to the left as viewed, eyes regarding the viewer. The sitter is shown with a short wig, wearing a fur-trimmed coat, high collared jacket and white cravat.

Caleb Whitefoord (1734-1810) British wine merchant and diplomatist was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society in 1784.
