Norman Michael Green (b.1946), British physicist, was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society in 1989. He was awarded the Society's Royal Medal in 2021 for 'crucial and influential contributions to the development of string theory over a long period, including the discovery of anomaly cancellation'.
