Sir Robert Lewis Fullarton Boyd (1922-2004), British physicist, was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society in 1969. He was awarded the Society's Bakerian Medal and Lecture in 1978, which he delivered on 'Cosmic exploration by X-rays'.
