Description
Nature-printed study of the marine algae Leptosiphonia fibrate Savoie & Saunders here styled Polysiphonia fibrata Harv. of the Rhodomelaceae family. Depicts a single specimen at natural size with magnified details of a branch with capsules, a capsule, branch with antheridia, branchlet with tetraspores and a transverse section of stem.

Object history
Dedication to the late Mrs (Amelia) Griffiths of Torquay (1768-1858) amateur phycologist and beachcomber who was an important collector of marine algae specimens.
