Sir George (György) Károly Radda, Hungarian – British chemist, was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society in 1980 and served on the Council from 1990-1992. He was awarded the Buchanan Medal in 1987 for his development of high resolution NMR spectroscopy for the study of cellular energetics and cellular enzymology, and for medical diagnosis, and of the insights and advances thereby gained.
