Sir Roy Malcolm Anderson, British epidemiologist, was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society in 1986, he served on the Council from 1989 to 1991. He gave the Croonian lecture in 1994 on 'Populations, infectious disease and immunity: a very nonlinear world'.
