Desmond George King-Hele (1927-2019), British physicist, was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society in 1966. He was awarded the Bakerian Medal in 1974 with a lecture on A view of Earth and air and the Wilkins Lecture in 1997 on Erasmus Darwin, the Lunatiks and evolution.
