Description
Botanical illustration of Ficus carica or fig, native to the southern part of Europe and Asia. Showing a single branch bearing large dark green leaves along its length with ripe and unripe fruits emerging at the same junction as the leaves. Further details of the flowers and seeds and two cross sections of the ripe and unripe fruits to the lower left and lower right-hand side.
