Sir Henry Harris (1925-2014), Australian cell biologist, was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society in 1968 and served on its Council between 1971 and 1972. He was awarded the Royal Medal in 1980 and gave the Croonian Lecture in 1971 and the Humphry Davy and Claude Bernard Lecture in 1984.
