    Half-length portrait of Jervas in naval uniform with the ribbon and star of the Order of the Bath. Behind a scroll of paper before a seascape showing a line of Royal Navy ships.

    Inscribed: “Engraved by H.Wallis. LORD ST. VINCENT. From a print by Barnard, after a Picture by Keenan. Under the Superintendence of the Society for the Diffusion of Useful Knowledge. London. Published by Charles Knight & Co. Ludgate Street. Printed by Alfred Adlard.” In pencil lower left “1809”.

    Lord St.Vincent was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society in 1809.
