View of an open valley showing the face of a large glacier. Two figures with a horse are visible in the foreground and a small house surrounded by a simple fence can be seen further down the slope. Mountains are shown at either edge of the image and the main body of the glacier is visible in the distance. The dense ice of the glacial body has forged a route between the mountains, terminating in this basin.
