Description
Map of the Hochelaga Archipelago at the confluence of the St. Lawrence and Ottawa rivers, showing the Island of Montreal, Jesus Island and some of the smaller islets that make up the archipelago. Fort Ville-Marie, the original settlement on the Island of Montreal, can be seen in the centre of the map, on the right side of the island. A plan of the fortress is also included, at the lower right of the image.
